Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?
I don't work directly with insurance companies, but I'm happy to provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. If you'd like to use this option, I recommend calling your insurance company and asking about your "out-of-network mental health benefits" before we begin, so you know what to expect.

Do you offer sessions online or in person?
Both. I see clients in person at my office in Austin, and online for anyone located in Texas. Some people value the presence of being in the room together; others find that meeting from their own space fits their life better. Both can support deep work, and we can talk through what's right for you.

How often will we meet?
Most people meet with me either weekly or every other week. We'll find the frequency that supports the depth and continuity of your process, and it can change as your needs change.

What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens, and I understand that. I simply ask that you let me know at least 24 hours before our session if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged the normal session fee.

How long does therapy take?
Honestly: it depends. Some people come with a specific challenge and find what they need in a few months; others stay longer because the work keeps opening into new territory. We'll check in regularly about how things are going, and the pace is always yours.

How do I get started?
Whichever way feels right to you. You can book a free 20-minute phone consultation — a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what's bringing you to therapy, and get a feel for whether we're a good fit. Or, if you already know you'd like to begin, you're welcome to schedule a first session directly. Either way, reach out through the contact form below and we'll find a time.
